About
Founded in 2020, Elements Equine Bodyworks is owned by Natalie Darmody.
Natalie began her riding career at the age of 5 and was immediately bit by the riding bug. She went on to compete in local San Diego County shows in the all-around division winning numerous classes and year end awards. In her mid teens she rode her first reining horse and quickly catapulted herself into the western performance world. With the help of her mentor, Tom Arendell, she successfully retrained her western pleasure horse to be a competitor in the reining pen. This is where her love of training blossomed.
After a few unfortunate injuries to her equine partner, and many hours of hand-walking later, Natalie knew there must be more to preventative care for her horses. This led her to dive down the rabbit hole of equine bodywork. She recieved her Equine Bodywork certification through Equinology, Inc and is currently a Level 2 Equinology Equine Bodyworker. Natalie is certified in the Lazaris Nerve Release Technique that is associated with the Balance Through Movement Method.
With this knowledge of equine anatomy and biomechanics, Natalie is able to bring to the table the understanding of training methodologies and how they relate to the equine body. She believes in the "team approach" and strives to bridge the gap between professional team members to form one cohesive wellness partnership. She is happy to collaborate with veterinarians, farriers, chiropractors, & other equine wellness practitioners to best serve her clients.
Natalie is fully insured for equine bodywork with ABMP.
